On Friday, July 17 Senator Jon Tester announced his much anticipated forest bill: the Forest Jobs and Recreation Act. The Senator’s new bill will put people to work with light-on-the-land logging that restores healthy forests, and better protects communities from wildfire.
Montana is home to a wide variety of fish and wildlife and it’s important to protect the places they live. As Montana grows, develops, and attracts more and more visitors, our wildlife habitat, water and special places are at further risk. The Partnership Plan will help protect key habitat, pristine water and a Montana way of life.
